Rubber & Plastic industry Trend reports for May 2011 on production and shipment |
The rubber & plastic production growth rose 7.0% from a year ago, while shipment growth 6.0% |

The industrial product index for May 2011 was 149.4 - it rose 1.7% over last month, and over the same month last year, increased 8.3% with the revitalized production of semiconductor & its parts, the Goods and other transportation equipment, mechanical equipment, etc.
By the business fields, over the last month, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, semiconductor & its parts were up, while goods and other transportation equipment, non-metallic minerals, primary metal were down. There was rise in the fields of semiconductor & its parts, goods and other transportation equipment, mechanical equipment from a year ago. Compared with the same month last year, semiconductor & its parts is 20.3% up, goods and other transportation equipment 19.4% up - mechanical equipment and primary metal were respectively 13.3%, 7.8% up, but non-metallic minerals was 4.9% down.
As to the production changes by business fields, rubber & plastic industry rose 2.0% over the last month, however, 7.0% up compared with the same month last year.
The industrial product shipment index for May 2011 was 143.1 and it increased 1.0% over the last month, and rose 8.4% with the same month last year.
By business fields, over the last month, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, chemicals showed rise, while grocery, primary metal, semiconductor & its parts down. Mechanical equipment, semiconductor & its parts, primary metal, chemicals rose high up from a year ago.
The domestic manufacturing shipment was ,over the last month, up 2.0% due to the increase of the capital and intermediate goods in manufacturing despite the decrease of the consumer goods, and up 5.9% over the same month from a year ago.
Among the shipment changes by business fields, rubber & plastic industry shipment index rose 1.1% over the last month, while increased 6.0% over the same month last year.

The manufacturing operation ratio trend reports for May 2011 |
| Rubber & plastic industry operation ratio index fell 1.0% over the previous month, while rose 4.6% from a year ago.

The average manufacturing operation ratio for May 2011 was 81.4% - 1.0% rise over the last month. The manufacturing operation ratio index was up in the fields of automobile, semiconductor & its parts, electrical equipment, and it was 1.3% up despite the decrease of the Goods and other transportation equipment, oil refining, grocery, etc. from the last month - 1.3% up over the same month last year.
The production capacity index was 0.1% up from the last month - more, up 5.6% from a year ago. The index of paper goods, metal processing, chemicals showed slight increase, but electrical equipment, wooden products, mechanical equipment decreased. Over the same month last year, there was the 5.5 % average increase with all the economic downturn in the fields of semiconductor & its parts, metal processing, paper goods, etc.
The operation ratio index of rubber & plastic industry increased 0.7% from a month ago - 3.0% up over the same month last year.
